I remember when I was a child we used to go camping with a group of close family friends. Now, I don’t want you picturing this circle of tents, with everyone roughing it, going to the bathroom in the woods. No. Camping meant a 23’ foot hardtop trailer with tent trailer ends, A/C, TV with VCR (it was a big deal at the time), a fully functioning kitchen and full sized shower. I loved it. You picture camping food and you picture what? Hot dogs? Maybe burgers? Sandwiches if you’re lucky. Not us! We had full on meals with appetizers and desserts. Spaghetti night was always a fave. Complete with garlic bread, homemade cesar salad and brownies for dessert. I always used to think it was so goofy that my mom would make everyone all of these personalized items with nicknames and inside jokes. Mugs. T-shirts. Hats. Her nickname - “Food Lady”.
Somehow, someway, I have become that for my friends and family. I don’t think mom’s too upset about it.
Anyways, I have decided to take that and run with it. I love cooking. I don’t hate that I’m the “Food Lady” of my circle. I have embraced it. I have launched a business because of it. Why not do what you love? I have had so many friends and family members comment to me that I should be “cooking in a restaurant” somewhere. Problem is - I don’t want to be cooking someone else’s food. I want to cook my own.

I have worked for over 10 years in the food and service industry. Many years serving and bartending at fine dining establishments. I had a successful charcuterie business for quite a while that was shuttered like so many others when COVID hit. I have worked with a few private chefs and catering services as an assistant and serving at many high end private events and pop ups.
This eventually led to me being invited to run my own pop up out of Behind the Bend Cafe. Here I served mostly Asian fusion cuisine which eventually led to me debuting my tacos. These took off and serving fusion tacos has kind of been a “thing” for me now. Message me now to book your own taco experience - whatever that might look like.
I can accommodate almost any request, parties large and small. Food buffet style or plated. Served hors d’oeuvres or a grazing spread that will delight your guests. The stress of any party can be greatly relieved by having me help!
